vote-eve

This quote put me in mind of my recent musings as well as those of my friend Kelly:
To put the world right in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must first put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must first cultivate our personal life; we must first set our hearts right.

This was said by Confucius.

I totally agree with this statement. I think especially today, election day, we need to really look and feel our hearts to vote for the best candidate no matter which party you usually back. Families are what hold this world together. I don't even mean the "tradtional" family. It goes beyond that. The neighborhood that has become a family, the church you attend that is a family, friends that are family. I think we need to come together and make good choices for the future of our children.

jkv - you are so right about who we count as family. Maybe if more Americans thought like you, we'd all be better off!!

Amen.

I just don't understand where people are coming from, and where they're expecting go and how in the world they feel the president elect is trustworthy enough to lead them there...
